Coaltown is an installation that explores half-remembered moments of tragedy and absurdity from a childhood in a British mining town.
Philip Hartigan was born in the UK and has lived in Chicago since 2002. He has exhibited extensively in the USA and Europe. He is also a regular contributor to Hyperallergic.
