Pamela Fraser, artist
Pamela Fraser is an artist who has been active making, exhibiting and teaching art for almost 20 years. She works experimentally in a variety of materials and formats, though is primarily engaged with painting. Her work often explores the language of abstraction and the relationship of abstraction to place.
Past solo exhibitions include at Galerie Schmidt Maczolleck in Cologne, Germany; Galleria Il Capricorno in Venice, Italy; asprey jacques in London, England; Casey Kaplan in New York, NY; and The Blaffer Museum in Houston, TX. Select group exhibitions include galleries and institutions such as GAD in Oslo; The Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, NY; Wurttembergischer Kunstverein in Stuttgart, Germany; Dundee Center of Contemporary Art in Scotland; and an upcoming exhibition, The Crayon Miscellany, at Art Omi in Ghent, NY.
Fraser lives in Barnard, Vermont, and is a professor at The University of Vermont. In addition to her studio practice, she is currently writing How Color Works: Color Theory for the 21st Century, which will be published by Oxford University Press in 2017
Judy Ledgerwood currently lives and works in Chicago, Illinois. She received her MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and her BFA from the Art Academy of Cincinnati. Ledgerwood's work has shown in countless exhibitions both nationally and internationally. Her solo-exhibitions include Tracy Williams Ltd., New York, NY; Hausler Contemporary, Munich, Germany; Rhona Hoffman Gallery, Chicago, IL; Feigen Contemporary, New York, NY; and 1301PE, Los Angeles, CA. Her selected group exhibitions include Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, IL; Hausler Contemporary Zurich, Switzerland; Tony Wight Gallery, Chicago, Illinois; Kate Macgarry, London; and ARTBASELMIAMI, Miami, Florida. Recognized by her unique paintings and stunning installations, Ledgerwood's work is in numerous public collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, NY; Los Angeles Museum of Modern Art; Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, IL; and American Embassy, San Salvador, El Salvador.
Tony Tasset is an American multimedia artist. His works consists mainly of video, bronze, wax, sculpture, photography, film, and taxidermy.[1] He has exhibitions that can be seen in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Germany, Canada, Portugal, Italy, Ecuador, and London.[2][3] He received his BFA from The Art Academy of Cincinnati, and his MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (1985).He was awarded the John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship in 2006 and The Louis Comfort Tiffany Award.[6] He currently resides in Chicago, Illinois and is represented by Kavi Gupta of Chicago and Berlin.[7] He is an art professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago.[8]
